When looking at sound, we focussed on a scene from love actaully. This scene is the opening scene and has dialog over the top of videos from Heathrow airport. When watching it we first listened to it with the sound turned on, and then listened to it with the sound turned off. We then had to identify all of the different sounds in the video. The main feature of the video was the voice over by David (Huge Grant) and then we also noticed the music behind it.  When making the video, we used Oscar Stevens to say the lines that David (Huge Grant) was speaking in that scene, we had to time how long David took to speak in the original and then timed the breaks inbetween each section. I watched the orignal video and then wrote down what she was saying to allow Oscra to say the exact same thing and match the time. We recorded it as a video and then layered the video over the orignal video and cut out the video and it just left us with the audio. This is the final video:

Obviously the music was a main feature of the video and then we also noticed the foot steps when Clay was walking down the corridor, as well as the school bell at thye end of the video.The dialogue that hannah was speaking had to be recreated by someone else. We also learned about diagetic and non- diagetic sound. Diagetic sound is the sound that is actually in the scene, for example the footsteps when Clay was walking down the corridor, or when the actors are speaking in the scene. Non diagetic sound is when the sound is not picked up on screen and so has to be added during the edited process. For example, music being added to increase the tension or to make it a recognisable movie, such as the juarassic park music, the music wasnt

When watching episode 2 of ‘Him&Her’ and analysing the mise-en-scene and focussing on character expression and movement, it is obvious that the two characters, Steve and Becky act in a very immature and childlike way. Specifically in this episode, Steve is acting like a child as he is pretending to be ill so he doesn't have to leave the house to go out with his friends for his birthday celebrations.. This is child like as it is common for a young child to pretend they are ill to get out of school or a particular event. When Steves mother comes to visit him in his small bedsit to bring him his birthday presents he suddenly becomes very ill and she gives him a herbal remedy to keep his glands down, and by looking at his expression, it is obvious that he doesn't want to drink the remedy perhaps because he isn't actually ill. He also tips out the lemsip that Becky makes him when she's out of the room and takes another mouthful of beer. Implying that he wants everyone to

Ferris Bueller’s day off- Car crash scene In Ferris Bueller’s day off Ferris manages to convince his best friend Cameron to take his father’s Lamborghini out, his most prized possession and one of only one hundred and twenty models made. The skiving teenagers manage to keep it safe and pristine all day however they unintentionally build up over 3000 miles on it which Cameron was sure his father would notice. After Ferris came up with what he thought an immaculate idea, the three teenagers started to run the vehicle backwards in hope that the miles would come off. Unfortunately, this did it not turn out as successful as Ferris would have hoped. Leading to Cameron furiously talking about this father and how he pushes him around.   The character movement in this scene is very significant.
